Christmas Show Performances
Pupils should wear their white t-shirts or shirts/blouses as normal, with grey trousers or skirts. Dark shoes are also preferable. Each of the P2 pupils are dressed in either a shepherd or animal headdress to fit with our Show Tunes. This will ensure the pupils look very smart on stage!
Tickets are now all allocated – we look forward to seeing you on either Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning. Thank you for all the practising of singing at home – I’m sure you are hearing the songs in your head as much as we are!
Christmas Lunch is on Wednesday December 10th from 11.45am. Children can also go home dinners or packed lunch if they prefer.
Christmas Jumper Day
The whole school is participating in this Charity event for Save the Children. Please wear a festive jumper on Friday 12th December and bring a donation. You can decorate a jumper with craft items or Christmas pictures if you prefer.
Spelling homework will not be issued this week or next – Assessments of sounds covered so far will be done in class to ensure the pupils are making the necessary progress. Thank you for all your help in supporting your child through homework this term.
New reading books will not be issued until January but please continue to bring the current book every day! Reading assessments will also take place between now and January to ensure your child is reading at a suitable level.
P2 Christmas Party
This will be held on the afternoon of Wednesday 17th December from 1.30pm to 3.15pm. Children should come to school dressed in their school uniform in the morning with their party clothes in their school bag, or go home for lunch to change.
We are looking forward to party games, party food and a special visitor…I wonder who!?
Christmas Church Service
This will be held in Woodside Parish Church on the morning of Friday 19th December where we will be singing our Show tunes and our favourite Carols.
All pupils should be in school uniform.
A collection for the Church and Charity will be done – please help us by providing a small amount. All parents/carers are invited to observe and seating is available upstairs in the Church.
