To celebrate World Book Day, we set all the classes a challenge. Every class had to choose their favourite book and transform their classroom door into the book cover. Classes have worked very hard, over the last few weeks, designing and creating their doors. We think they look amazing, what do you think? We would love to read your comments.

P1 Awesome Outdoors!

Many of the children wanted to make a den but it takes lots of working together and problem solving to do this.

We had different materials to help us to build.

Developing our creative skills too – painting, music making, creating objects and pictures.

Mud pies and sand castles!
Learning in lots of different ways!

Brilliant books make brilliant readers!
The children love listening to stories but they often choose to look at books. They share these with each other and with our reading buddy soft toys. It is great to hear them talking about the books as talking and listening is an important part of learning to read.
