To celebrate World Book Day, we set all the classes a challenge. Every class had to choose their favourite book and transform their classroom door into the book cover. Classes have worked very hard, over the last few weeks, designing and creating their doors. We think they look amazing, what do you think? We would love to read your comments.

Romeo and Juliet
My name is Abbie and this year I played the part of Juliet in the Shakespeare show Romeo and Juliet. The story is about a boy and girl who fall in love but their families are at war. The show has lots of amazing, adventurous scenes such as the balcony scene that lots of people may have heard about and the main fight scene between Tybalt and Mercutio.
The whole experience has been amazing. The cast of the show went to a workshop at the arts centre and we did lots of different drama exercises and performed a short scene. We got to see the stage that we would be performing on.
On the 4th of November(the day of the show) we had 2 rehearsals. One was a tech rehearsal when we practised our lights and sounds and the second was a dress rehearsal to make sure all our props and costumes were right.
On the night we were all really excited and nervous. Other schools performed Twelfth Night and The Tempest which were also fantastic.
Woodside got a great response from the crowd and all the parents and teachers told us how proud they were. Room 14 would definitely recommend this experience to others!
