To celebrate World Book Day, we set all the classes a challenge. Every class had to choose their favourite book and transform their classroom door into the book cover. Classes have worked very hard, over the last few weeks, designing and creating their doors. We think they look amazing, what do you think? We would love to read your comments.

Numbers are EVERYWHERE!
Friday 3rd February was the NSPCC Number Day. Room 18 celebrated the by
taking part in a lot of different activities. We completed our Buddy Hunt with our P1 Buddies in Room 3! It was a great deal of fun, we had to help guide our Buddies around the school by following the different clues and solving the tricky questions. Some of the questions asked us to find different shapes in the junior corridor, how many hands high are the lunch box trollies and how tall is Mr McKenzie.
We also played lots of different number games outside from snakes and ladders to guess my number.
Amazing Animators
The Hufflepuff reading group turned into animators on Friday. They have been reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid and were given the task of creating their favourite comic strip from the book into a real life animation. Using plasticine and the IMotion app they all produced some fantastic short clips!

Closed for Business
Last Saturday pupils from Room 18 and Room 15 were selling their Sock Snowmen at Tesco Danestone! The children were amazing sellers, they were able to confidently communicate with the public and use their mental maths skills to work out change extremely fast.
Mr McKenzie and Miss Blackman are extremely proud of all the boys and girls who came to help out. They are a credit to Woodside.
Finally after a long time counting…… we can announce that we raised a grand total of £356!!!!
We aim to use the money for both the classes to enjoy a team building day.

Dragons Den
DRAGONS DEN
Hi our names are Jack and Kenzie.
This term our topic is called Dragons Den .Room 15 and Room18 joined together to make Christmas products. We had to pitch our products to Audrey from Tesco and Mrs Page. They had to decide which product won. They decided that the Keep It Cool Sock Snowmen were the winners which means all groups get to make snowmen. They were fun to make but We think Mr McKenzie had to hoover up all the rice from the classroom floor. It was everywhere.
We sold our Snowmen at the Christmas fair and sold out. So far we have made a great profit of £160
We are also are selling our product at Tesco Danestone
for £2 on Saturday the 10th of December!
We we hope to use the money for an adventure day for both classes to enjoy!
